Preps: Williston boys soccer drops Kingswood-Oxford

The Williston Northampton boys soccer team rallied from a small deficit to beat Kingswood-Oxford, 3-1, Wednesday in Easthampton.

Wyatt Wegrzyn scored the tying the goal as well as the insurance tally for the Wildcats (9-3-2).

Nick Heafey netted the winner before halftime.

Simon Fernandez and Vicente Abbud each had one assist.

Boys water polo

Williston 8, Eaglebrook 5 — Nathan Shatz and Hal Stuart each scored two goals, while Gavin Kline made 10 saves as the Wildcats won on the road.

Girls volleyball

Cheshire 3, Williston 2 — Dylan Fulcher Melendy finished with nine aces, Jersey Strum had six aces and Chelsea Clark added three but the Wildcats couldn’t hold on to a 2-0 lead.

Sarah Sullivan and Tomi Akisanya played well in defeat.

Field hockey

Deerfield 3, Williston 0 — Bryn Saarela, Maeve Reynolds, Cora Webber and Rachel Burke played well, while Kira Bixby made 11 saves for the Wildcats.
