Your Photos: Foggy field in Hadley

Friday, May 11, 2018

Mandana Marsh Szkotak wrote to say that before she even had her coffee one morning in late April, she was drawn outdoors by the sight of these weed coverings converging at a barn in the fog on East Street in Hadley.

Szkotak, who began her photojournalism career here with a cover story and photo at the Valley Advocate, recently returned to western Massachusetts after 15 years in Richmond, Virginia.

“I see this beautiful area with fresh eyes and deep appreciation for its geography and its people,” she wrote. “If I was looking for symbolism in this photograph, I would say it’s my future merging with my past.”

More of her image are posted on her website www.mandanamarsh.com.
