Wednesday’s preps: Williston girls lacrosse rolls Miss Porter’s

Easthampton’s Madison Fulcher-Melendy racked up six goals and three assists, as the Williston Northampton girls lacrosse team beat Miss Porter’s School, 20-3, on Wednesday.

Fiona Bundy, Rachel Burke and Campbell Nyarady all registered hat tricks.


Salisbury 4, Williston 0 — Will Jordan struck out three and allowed just three hits in a loss.

Girls softball

Williston 6, Marianapolis Prep 0 — Jordan Strum fanned 14 in a shutout. Jersey Strum drove in four runs on two hits.

Girls tennis

Williston 5, Wilbraham & Monson 2 — Ana Weed (No. 2), Julia Farnam (No. 3) and Haley Beecher (No. 4) won singles matches for the Wildcats.

Hana Tsukamoto and Amanda Shen prevailed at No. 2 doubles, while Rachael Goodman and Sonia Whitman won at third doubles.

Boys tennis

Williston 6, Pomfret School 1 — Amherst’s Kenny Wang picked up a win at No. 1 singles, while Northampton’s Nikhil Serrios had a win at No. 2 singles. Nithish Raja (No. 4), Joey Nolte (No. 5) and Joey Robbins (No. 6) also won in singles play.

Girls water polo

Williston 15, Suffield Academy 5 — Ella Mattocks and Abbie Coscia each had four goals and three assists in a road win. Louisa Weed scored three times. Sophie Little netted her first career goal. Molly Kinstle made three steals, and Dylan Fulcher-Melendy made 18 saves for Williston (5-2).

Girls golf

Hotchkiss 5, Williston 0; Williston 3, Ethel Walker 2 — Sophie Weed shot a 43 to earn medalist honors for the Wildcats (1-1).

Boys lacrosse

Williston 11, Kimball Union 10 — Joey Ford scored five times, as the Wildcats won their first road game of the season. Mason Balch added a hat trick with an assist. Kevin Talbot won 17-of-24 faceoffs. Sam Milnes made 12 saves for Williston (3-0).
