Katharyn Vogl and Samuel Orvis, both of Manchester, Vermont, were married Aug. 5 at Saint James Church in Cazenovia, New York by David McCallum, S.J., of Lemoyne College.

The bride, 28, is the daughter of Patrick and Laura Vogl of Cazenovia, New York. She is a 2007 graduate of Cazenovia High School in Cazenovia. She received her bachelor’s degree in 2011 from Western New England University in Springfield, and a master’s degree in business administration in 2016 from Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont. She is a senior product manager at New Chapter in Brattleboro, Vermont.

The groom, 28, is the son of Curtis and Lynn Orvis of Bonita Springs, Florida, and Middlebury, Vermont. He is a 2007 graduate of Amherst Regional High School, Amherst, and received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in 2011 from Western New England College. He is manufacturing engineer for the Orvis Company in Manchester.

The bride’s sister, Jillian Vogl, attended the bride as the maid of honor, and the bridesmaids were Clare Orvis and Judy Orvis, sisters of the groom; Christine Heymann, cousin of the bride and Sarah Thabet, Morgan Shattuck and Audrey Feci, friends of the bride.

The best man was Spencer Shumway, friend of the groom, and the groomsmen were Andrew Vogl, brother of the bride; Ross Yager, cousin of the groom and friends of the groom Nick Rouzier, Ian Fay, Gabe Gladstone and Javed Basu-Kesselman.

A reception was held at Lincklaen House in Cazenovia. The couple honeymooned in Switzerland.
