NORTHAMPTON — The Three County Fair was blessed with fine weather for its fourth and final day Monday, Labor Day.

After 2020’s limited opening, this year’s edition of the long-running agricultural fair presented all the usual attractions — school bus demolition derby, livestock competitions, carnival-style games and rides, produce and flower exhibitions, and musical and comedy shows.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture recognizes the Three County Fair as the oldest ongoing fair in continuous operation in the United States with the first one taking place Oct. 14-15, 1818, and every year since without interruption, including last year.
