Marianne Milton: Rathbun’s jab at New Yorkers not funny

Published: 10/7/2019 9:31:38 AM

Mickey Rathbun opines that New Yorkers are fearful, angry and unfamiliar with tomatoes. Was that necessary in an article about gardening? It seems like xenophobia to me.

In a time of terrible abuse of immigrants and those our country treats as “Other,” the Gazette must not demonize people based on their city or country of residence. Not funny.
