We considered ourselves fortunate some 33 years ago to land in a neighborhood with a terrific public school. Time moves quickly and now a third generation has graduated from Leeds Elementary School.

We consider Leeds School and all the Northampton public schools cornerstones to solid neighborhoods and communities. That is why we strongly support Penny Geis for Ward 7 councilor. She supports both the local school (a grandmother to three Leeds school kids) and the neighborhood on a daily basis as children and caretakers walk to and from school each day and pass by her home.

Along with her professional expertise, Penny has shown a commitment to our local school — something we think is important as a Ward 7 City Councilor.
