I am excited to cast my vote for Sarah Marshall for Amherst School Committee. Sarah is a passionate advocate for Amherst. For the better part of the past decade, Sarah has worked doggedly to bring “nice things” to Amherst. In addition to serving on Recreation Commission (previously LSSE) and the Community Preservation Act Committee (CPAC), Sarah also serves as an associate member of the Zoning Board of Appeals. What’s not on the official resume, is that Sarah worked hard to educate voters about the importance of a new elementary school building and the Jones Library project, spending many weekends and evenings to make sure these critical capital projects move forward. Sarah is knowledgeable about town issues, she’s a thoughtful attentive listener and a hard-worker looking to move our town forward. As we reconstitute a school committee in Amherst, hire a superintendent and set educational policy and priorities, Sarah will dig in to understand the issues and work to develop a thoughtful and pragmatic path forward. I urge you to educate yourself on the candidates and where they stand and join me in casting your ballot for Sarah Marshall for School Committee.
