HATFIELD – One woman was transported to the hospital with minor injuries after a two-car accident Wednesday on Elm Street.
At roughly 4 p.m., Rose Karparis, 68, of Florence, was turning her Subaru right into a driveway about 500 feet from Little Neponset Road when she was rear ended by a Nissan operated by Leah Skutel, 34, of Ludlow. Both women were traveling east. Police chief Thomas Osley said Karparis used her turn signal.
Skutel, who police said had small cuts and bruises from air bag deployment, was transported by ambulance to Cooley Dickinson Hospital. Karparis was not injured, according to police.
No charges were issued at the scene.
