SOUTH HADLEY – Drew Alley scored 10 points in the first half and helped the South Hadley girls basketball team pull away from Hampshire Regional 47-29 at home on Tuesday.

The Tigers (5-1) scored the game’s first seven points and opened with a 17-2 run. Hampshire (1-8) didn’t get on the board until Alyssa Colon-Garcia put back an offensive rebound with 2 minutes, 15 seconds remaining in the first quarter.

South Hadley’s press forced turnovers on three of the first four possessions and kept the Raiders off balance.

Alex Jackson and Ava Asselin each scored nine points for the Tigers, while Caitlin Dean added seven.

Ashley Legowski led Hampshire with nine points.
