HS soccer: Tyler Sudsbury nets two late as Granby beats Sci-Tech

Tyler Sudsbury rescued the Granby boys soccer team, scoring goals in the 75th and 76th minutes to deliver a 3-2 win over Sci-Tech on Tuesday.

The Cybercats led 1-0 at halftime.

Liam Brown also found the net for the Rams (2-1, 2-1 McGrath), assisted by Josh Hart.

Max Brown and Dylan Moriarty assisted Sudsbury.

Dominick Nomakeo saved five shots for Granby.

Smith Academy 2, Pioneer Regional 2 — Riley Intrator tallied his first varsity goal and assist, but the Falcons couldn’t maintain their halftime lead.

Intrator was assisted by Logan Graves as the Falcons (1-1-1, 1-1-1 McGrath) took a 1-0 lead. Intrator assisted Sam Dadmun’s goal in the 39th minute.

Pioneer tied the game with two minutes left.

Ryan Belina saved five shots.

Smith Vocational 3, St. Mary 0 — Cole Boisvert scored from a corner kick and a free kick in the first half.

William Childs Florio added a third goal for the Vikings (1-1-1, 1-1-1 Tri-County) with an assist from Gavin Thomas.

Race Drobiak made seven saves.

Hampshire Regional 6, Monson 0 — Aidan Miklasiewicz put two of his three goals in the net in the second half of a road win.

Aidan White (goal) and A.J. Dybacki added two assists each for the Raiders (2-0, 1-0 Holley). Austin Bush and Matt Solan also found the net, while Bryce Illingsworth added an assist. Colin Boyle made eight saves, and Elan Kuntz had two.

Easthampton 6, Gateway Regional 0 — Erik Geertsma scored twice and added an assist in a home win. Sam Ferland and Josh Dameworth each added a goal and an assist.

Brandon Morrow and Javier Simms found the net for the Eagles (1-1-1, 1-0 Schmid).

Caden Krause, Joseph Boyer and Carter Daughdrill had an assist each.

Zack Kugler made five saves for Easthampton

Preston Coffey stopped eight shots for Gateway (0-2, 0-1).

Southwick 1, Frontier Regional 0 — Nick Jarvis made two saves for the Red Hawks (1-1-1) in a home loss.

South Hadley 4, Hopkins Academy 0—The Tigers scored three goals in the second half to pull away from Hopkins. Jonas Clarke scored twice for South Hadley. Max McCurty and Declan Jay each scored once. Caiden Lip, Ashton Sanford and Brian Wolf each had one assist.

Erik Berg had five saves for the Golden Hawks. Xavier Butzer had two saves for the Tigers.

Girls soccer

South Hadley 5, Monson 1 — Paige Marjanski found the net twice and added an assist, as the Tigers stayed unbeaten.

Teagan Gawron, Sydney Mercier and Reese Carey each had a goal and an assist for South Hadley (3-0, 3-0 Central). Lindsay Marjanski contributed an assist.

Bridget Sears stopped eight shots.

Minnechaug 1, Belchertown 0 — The Falcons used a first-half goal to down the Orioles in Belchertown.

Julia Jimenez made nine saves in defeat.

Belchertown (0-3-0) put seven shots on net and had a few decent chances, according to coach Kyle Thibeault, but Gabrielle Bartolomeo made four saves for the shutout.

Hampshire Regional 8, Chicopee 0 — Maggie Rubeck and Brianne Salomao each netted hat tricks and added an assist in a home win. Kayla Lukasiwicz (assist) and Larissa Riley also found the net. Katelynn Dunn assisted Rubeck’s second goal for Hampshire (1-2, 1-1 Coombs).

Katie Taylor kept a clean sheet with eight saves.

Palmer 6, Holyoke 3 — Angelica Rivera, Lauryn Wresien and Abby Glasheen found the net in a home loss. Kelsey Wrensien added an assist for the Purple Knights (0-3, 0-3 Grieve).

Taryn Ryan stopped 19 shots.

Granby 6, Southwick 1 — Julia Frappier scored a road hat trick, as the Rams stayed unbeaten.

Nora Young delivered two assists for Granby (3-0, 3-0 Central).

Kaeleigh Croteau, Sienna Hill (assist) and Kayla Klekotka each found the net. Ella Lalbierte, Liberty Conin and Briana Sosa added an assist each. Julia Gauvin saved seven shots.
