NORTHAMPTON — A Granby man faces a single count of possessing child pornography, according to the Massachusetts attorney general’s office.

Sean W. Scully, 45, was indicted Nov. 16 by a Hampshire County Grand Jury on the charge and is slated to be arraigned in Hampshire Superior Court Dec. 20.

Massachusetts State Police arrested Scully on July 26. He was initially arraigned in Eastern Hampshire District Court, but posted $2,500 bail, according to a Nov. 21 release from Attorney General Maura Healey’s office.

Conditions of his release include that he be monitored by a GPS device, surrender his passport, have no access to the internet except for work-related use and have no contact with any child younger than 18.

State police assigned to the attorney general’s office launched its investigation in April after being tipped off by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that pornographic images of children were uploaded from a cellphone “linked to Scully,” according to the release.

Authorities executed a search warrant on July 26 at which point they searched all computers, phones, tablets and storage devices found in Scully’s Granby home. Images of child porn were allegedly found on various devices, authorities said.
