Fire at Northampton home sends 2 to hospital

NORTHAMPTON — The Fire Department responded to a fire on Ryan Road Saturday night that sent two people to the hospital.

According to a post on the Northampton Police Department’s Facebook page, firefighters responded to a report of a house fire at 6:15 p.m.

The post says that the department was able to quickly extinguish the fire, which caused no damage to the house. It also says that two residents were transported to Cooley Dickinson Hospital to be treated for possible smoke inhalation.

A call to the Fire Department Sunday yielded no further information.
