Chris Tallman wins Connecticut Section PGA Veterans Golf Tournament

South Hadley native Chris Tallman won the Connecticut Section PGA Veterans Golf Tournament, Wednesday at Mohegan Sun Golf Club.

Tallman, the pro at Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, shot 4-under 68 to win by five strokes over Kevin Mahaffy (Pequabuck GC) and William Street (Whitney Farms GC).

Tallman led the Orchards to a win in the team event. David Bombard, David Watson, Kyle Wylie, Jay Milkey and Tallman combined to shoot 13 under and win by 10 strokes.

The tournament raised nearly $2,000 for the Salute Military Golf Association of New England. This organization’s mission is to help in the healing of wounded veterans through the power of golf.
