The Albany Twilight League has been around for almost 100 years, and fields some of the best former professional and college baseball players from across the country. Hampshire Regional head softball coach Brian McGan played in the Twilight League back in the 1980s for nearly a decade once his professional playing days came to a close.

NORTHAMPTON — The Holyoke baseball team’s 4-0 lead all of a sudden disappeared. Northampton stormed from behind to tie the game at four and send it to extra innings, and after getting through the top of the eighth inning unscathed, the Blue Devils had a chance to win it.

The Belchertown baseball team has been dying to play baseball. Thanks to a rainout last Monday, March 31, the Orioles’ game against Northampton got postponed. They would have to wait until the end of the week to host Minnechaug for their season opener. Some teams had already played three games by last Friday, but Belchertown was finally suiting up to play their first – a 3-0 loss to Minnechaug.
