UMass forward Sam Breen selected for USA Basketball 3x3 Women’s National Team Trials

Sam Breen will make her USA Basketball debut at the USA 3x3 Women’s National Team Trials this weekend in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The former UMass forward is one of 18 athletes that will be evaluated for spots on the 2023-24 national teams. The pool includes a mix of collegiate and professional players, seven of whom have represented the USA in international 3x3 competition as well.
Breen was named the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year last season and won her second consecutive Atlantic 10 Player of the Year Award. She became UMass’ all-time leading scorer and led the Minutewomen to their first regular season conference title
