SOUTH HADLEY — A memorial service will be held Monday for a South Hadley teen who died earlier this month when the SUV she was driving was struck by tractor-trailer truck near the entrance to Pathfinder Regional Vocational Technical School in Palmer.

Mary Collins, 16, a student in the collision repair and refinishing program at the school, died in the June 13 crash that occurred near the school’s entrance from Sykes Street around 2:20 p.m.

The lifelong South Hadley resident was the daughter of Neil Collins and Kimberly Tracy, according to an obituary published by New England Funeral & Cremation Center. A celebration of life is being held Monday from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home at 25 Mill St. in Springfield.

Collins was driving a 1988 Chevrolet Suburban from the school when it was hit on the driver’s side by the tractor-trailer truck.

A GoFundMe has collected more than $27,000 to help the family with funeral expenses.
