EASTHAMPTON — The School Committee will interview three superintendent candidates in March to succeed Allison LeClair, who will retire in June.
The finalists are Jonathan Bruno, director of learning and teaching at Berkshire Hills Regional School District in Stockbridge; Erica Faginski-Stark, director of curriculum and instruction at Ludlow Public Schools; and Vito Perrone, a former Easthampton High School principal who is now the interim superintendent of the West Springfield Public Schools.
As part of the selection process, each candidate will conduct a site visit of Easthampton, starting at the Municipal Building, followed by a public meet and greet at Easthampton High School, and concluding with an interview with the School Committee at the high school’s library.
Bruno will visit Easthampton on Tuesday, March 21; Faginski-Stark on Wednesday, March 22; and Perrone on Thursday, March 23.
A full schedule is available at epsd.us/about/school-committee.
The committee advertised that it was looking for candidates for the position who have at least 10 years’ experience in education, including three years of administrative experience and a master’s degree, and that it has a preference for those with advanced degrees. The job description advertises a salary ranging between $142,000 and $157,000.
The original posting also notes a candidate could be appointed on or about April 1, with a new superintendent starting on July 1.
