If you’re as horrified as I am that Donald Trump could become our next president, I urge you to work now to ensure that never happens. Instead of being paralyzed by feelings of dread, I recommend acting together to protect our freedoms, including reproductive choice and the right to vote, and the future of American democracy.

Our actions can be the antidote to our anxiety. One local group that works tirelessly to save our democracy is Indivisible Northampton-Swing Left Western Mass (IN-SLWM), a group of dedicated volunteer activists committed to a more progressive, democratic, and free America. IN-SLWM supports voting rights, gender equality, civil liberties, racial justice, reproductive rights, climate action and environmental justice. We work together to elect progressives and to stop the far-right reactionary and authoritarian MAGA agenda.

If you care about these issues and want to protect and defend our democracy, we invite you to our bi-weekly virtual Zoom meetings where we host local and national speakers to discuss their goals, tactics, and actions. IN-SLWM teams use phone calling, writing, texting, and other ways to support progressive values and elect local and national leaders who share these values and will work for the good of America. Please visit www.in.slwm.org for more information. Our future depends on what we do now.
