I am a newcomer to Eashampton and voted early by mail-in ballot. I was perplexed by a list of people called the town committee, and not knowing any of them, did not feel comfortable selecting individuals nor checking the “Group” option.

I went to City Hall to ask if there was a bio for these candidates. It was explained to me that these are volunteers whose duties are to: represent their party at the local neighborhood level; promote the objectives of the party; and work for the nomination and election of party candidates. I understood that they are willing souls and that is all I needed to know.

I offer a hearty thank you to all of them. I checked “Group.”
