I was very excited to read the article in the Feb. 8 Gazette from Mothers Out Front as I have been a 44-year climate activist [“Case for ditching natural gas”]. A few months ago, we stopped using gas for heating only using two mini-splits. We believe in heating only the rooms we are currently using by using one or two of our four electric heaters which we use only when we are in the room.

Overnight there is no heat on except the gas turning on when there is extreme cold. There is a ceiling fan in the open high ceiling living and dining areas. Gas only heats our hot water as we can’t afford an electric hot water heater.

During the summer, we are very comfortable with only our fans on, no air conditioning. Thank you Mothers Out Front.
