Western Mass. Baseball 2024 Hall of Famer and Springfield resident Bob Taylor, 79, played on 13 professional teams (1962-1977) including our MLB (San Francisco Giants), in two countries (U.S. and Japan), and also played professionally here for the Springfield Giants. Chicopee resident Mike Hickey (1871-1918) played on 28 professional teams (1891-1906), including our MLB (Boston Beaneaters/Braves NL) in two countries (U.S. and Canada), and also played professionally here for the Springfield Ponies (two tours) and for the Holyoke Paperweights.
