I’m writing in support of Meg (Margaret) Robbins for reelection to the Northampton School Committee. I’m clearly biased in this effort since I’m her husband.

Meg has been the Ward 1 representative to the committee since January 2022, having been elected two years ago. But then, following the 2020 census, we were redistricted into Ward 4. In considering her options for continuing on the committee, Meg decided to run for reelection as an at-large candidate, representing the entire city. For anyone interested in learning more about Meg’s service and her candidacy, please see her website: voterobbinsnorthamptonschoolcommittee.com/.

Over the last two years, what has impressed me most is Meg’s dedication to serving the community and the schools. She comes to committee and subcommittee meetings prepared and informed, does background research on agenda items, shares constituents’ concerns, and participates actively in discussions. I’ve watched (some of) the School Committee meetings on Northampton Open Media, and I encourage checking out Meg’s diligence and keen sense of responsibility for the business of the Northampton School Committee. It’s impressive.

I’m voting for Meg on Nov. 7, and encourage you to do so as well.

Tom Riddell
