The town of Hatfield is losing three long-serving and well-respected members of our local government. Brian Moriaty has served as both a School Committee member as well as a Select Board member for more than 20 years. Joe Lavalle has been town moderator for 21 years and Lydia Szych has served as town clerk for 10 years. I cannot say thank you loud enough for their service to the citizens of Hatfield. I am sure they are looking forward to having a bit more free time to spend with their families. Fellow residents of Hatfield join with me in thanking these folks for their many years of service.
