I am writing this letter in support of Kari Scytkowski who is running for clerk/treasurer for Fire District 1 in South Hadley on April 11. I worked with Kari when I was chairman of the Prudential Committee and I found her to be very knowledgeable, extremely competent and conscientious as she performed her duties as assistant clerk/treasurer for Fire District 1.

She is a life-long resident of South Hadley and cares for the well-being of the community. She has 14 years of experience with Fire District 1 and has worked as the office billing clerk for the Water Department and has worked part-time for the Fire District as assistant clerk/treasurer. She has extensive knowledge of district financing, banking, budgeting, accounting and Mass. General Laws. She is highly motivated and has a strong work ethic. She is the type of person that “does her homework” and will always work in the best interest for the taxpayers of District 1. She has an open mind and possesses a willingness to collaborate with other district and town officials to foster positive relationships. I am confident that she will bring transparency, responsible accounting and integrity to the office of clerk/treasurer. Please join me in voting for Kari on April 11 at South Hadley High School.
