Sheila Marks: Grateful for first responders’ help after car accident

I am writing to express my gratitude to the Northampton firefighter/medical personnel who showed up at my husband’s car accident off Loudville Road on March 6. They took him into the ambulance and looked him over well. Miraculously, he emerged unscathed. We also appreciated the Northampton and Westhampton police and firefighter/medical crews who were quick to the scene. Everyone was professional, kind, and competent.

I must also mention that, when we went to get him checked out at the Cooley Dickinson Hospital emergency room, the waiting time was at least three hours, (so we made other arrangements). We all need to support the current campaign to raise money to help expand the ER. You never know when it might be your turn, perhaps with more critical needs. Thanks for pitching in!
