There are important reasons to vote for Aline Davis and Gwen Agna for at-large School Committee (you get two votes in that race); and for Endamian “Damia” Stewart if you live in Ward 4.

Over the past few years, our School Committee has been plagued by a lack of collaboration, efficiency and evidence-based policymaking. But Agna and Davis, the two incumbent at-large members, have been bright lights — thoughtful, cooperative, and always putting our kids first. They deserve r-election.

And Stewart, a longtime Northampton public school parent, would bring fresh energy and a collaborative spirit to a body that sorely needs it. Electing these three competent, kind and intelligent people to the committee is crucial to resetting our leadership towards the educational ideals that have long defined our city.
