Jason Kahn started making fruitcakes when he was eight years old with his family and has now been making them for more than 50 years. While not a fruitcake, he made this Rose Apple Tart for Christmas dinner, a recipe from the NY Times. “Not so heavy on sugar and cinnamon, it keeps the apple as the star of the show,” he writes.
