Belchertown man in critical condition after being ejected from vehicle

BELCHERTOWN — A 54-year-old Belchertown man is in critical condition after being ejected from his vehicle as the result of a two-car collision Friday morning at the intersection of Route 9 and Allen Road.

Police said the driver of the other vehicle involved in the 7:30 a.m. crash, a 29-year-old man from Chicopee, remained on scene and was cooperative with the investigation.

The Belchertown man ejected from his vehicle was transported to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.

The crash closed Allen Road until 1:30 p.m.

Massachussetts State Police, Belchertown Fire and Ware Fire Department assisted Belchertown Police at the scene.
