NORTHAMPTON – The woman who died after being found unresponsive in a Starbucks bathroom has been identified as Joanne Sheremeta, 45, of Amherst, according to the Northwestern district attorney's office.

Sheremeta had been in the bathroom at the Starbucks at 211 Main St. for 45 minutes when staff called police around 5:31 p.m. on Feb. 12, police said. Officers, with the assistance of staff, unlocked the door and attempted to resuscitate Sheremeta before she was transported to Cooley Dickinson Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
