Amherst forum to focus on school, town affairs

A forum featuring School Superintendent Michael Morris and Town Manager Paul Bockelman, which will provide an overview of school and town affairs, will be held Wednesday morning.

“The State of the Town,” part of the Business Leadership for Amherst Area Strategies series, will run from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the Eric Carle Museum’s auditorium.

Moderated by Amherst Business Improvement District Executive Director Sarah la Cour, the forum will also have Select Board Chairwoman Alisa Brewer and Amherst Director of Health and Community Services Julie Federman as part of the panel.

La Cour said she anticipate a valuable discussion. “We see it as an opportunity to take the pulse of the community from a variety of perspectives,” la Cour said.

The BLAAST series is co-produced by the Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce and the Amherst BID.
