The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its women’s basketball conference schedule this week, and the UMass Minutewomen released their full schedule for the upcoming 2023-24 season.

The defending A-10 co-champion Minutewomen will host their home opener against St. Peter’s on Monday, Nov. 6 at a time to be determined. Only four of UMass’ 12 non-conference games will be home contests; eight of them will be on the road, with three of those matchups against Green Bay, Washington State and Maryland happening at the Cancun Challenge tournament in Riviera Maya, Mexico starting on Nov. 23.

UMass will host St. Peter’s, Harvard, UMass Lowell and Albany during the non-conference portion of their schedule. Their Atlantic 10 conference opener will be a road game against VCU on Saturday, Dec. 30, and they’ll have their first home conference matchup against Dayton on Jan. 2 at a time to be determined.

The Minutewomen’s first game against Rhode Island, the team they shared the A-10’s regular season championship with last season, will be at Rhode Island on Jan. 27. The Minutewomen will face defending Atlantic 10 champion Saint Louis on Jan. 6 at the Mullins Center.

On the men’s side, the Minutemen are slated to play eight games on national television, and four of those games will be at home.

UMass will host its first game of the 2023-24 season against Albany on Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. That kicks off a five-game home stand to open the non-conference schedule. The team will play West Virginia at the Hall of Fame Classic in Springfield at the MassMutual Center on Dec. 21 at a time to be determined and will also travel to Honolulu, Hawaii for the Diamond Head Classic Dec. 21-24.

After its 12 game non-conference schedule, the Minutemen will play their first A-10 game of the season against Duquesne at the Mullins Center on Jan. 3 at a time to be determined.

UMass will host defending regular season and postseason champion VCU at home on Feb. 20 at a time to be determined.
