∎ A Chattanooga, Tenn., man selling magazines door-to-door on Montague Road was reported to police Thursday at 7:56 p.m. Police spoke to the man and determined he had paperwork from a company showing that he is a legitimate salesman. This marked the third report this week of a suspicious salesperson, following one Wednesday at 6:49 p.m. on Blue Hills Road, when a Pascagoula, Miss., man was identified and arrested on a warrant, and another Wednesday 8:23 p.m. on Carriage Lane, when a woman going door-to-door was not located.
∎ The following four men were arrested Thursday at 6:01 p.m. at Wal-Mart at Mountain Farms Mall on charges of shoplifting by concealment after they left the store without paying for $207.83 worth of camping gear, police said: Zachary Alliger, 21, of Larchmont, N.Y.; Christopher Daly, 23, of Marlborough; Ian William Sloan, 19, of Brooktondale, N.Y.; and Geoffrey Bromley Sullivan, 18, of New York, N.Y.
∎ Scott M. Davis, 28, of Randall Wood Drive, Montague, was arrested at 12:51 a.m. Friday on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and falure to display or use proper plates. Police stopped Davis on King Street near the 7-Eleven store after his vehicle was seen to be missing a required license plate decal.
