Ziomek fans 13 in shutout by Amherst

Kevin Ziomek blew through the Westfield lineup, striking out 13 and allowing just three hits in the 3-0 victory by the Amherst American Legion team Friday at Ziomek field.

The win improved Amherst's record to 12-1, as it remains behind only undefeated East Longmeadow in the league standings.

Ziomek allowed just six base runners in the complete-game shutout.
