UMass senior pitcher Mitchell Clegg, a senior lefthander who was the Minutemen's ace this season, was just selected by the Washington Nationals in the 21st round (No. 622 overall).

Mike DiCato was terrific for the Minutemen for eight innings and
Mitchell Eilenberg bailed him out in the ninth. Good win for UMass. It
might be a step forward for the program or it might be just one good
day. Either way its a positive.

The consolation game of the Baseball Beanpot has gone to the 11th inning which will most certainly delay te start of UMass and BC.
There are a handful on Montreal Canadiens fans here, taking advantage of the opportunity to see the ballpark while the Red Sox are out of town.
