Jim and Donna Egan take a walk on Ashley Circle near their home in Easthampton. In 2010 Jim contracted goodpastures syndrome while on a trip to Sedona Arizona. Goodpastures syndrome is an autoimmune disease in which antibodies attack the lungs and kidneys, leading to bleeding from the lungs and to kidney failure. On Halloween of 2014 Jim received a kidney transplant.
