GOSHEN — Write-ins helped to fill out the slate of elected positions in uncontested town elections Saturday, though two posts remain vacant, Town Clerk Kristen Estelle reported.

Turnout was 75 out of an electorate of 761, or 10%. Estelle said her office put up electronic signs on Route 9 on either side of town to alert residents to the election a few days beforehand.

“We think they helped,” she said, acknowledging that while 10% turnout is not high, “it’s not bad for a ballot with no contests.”

Roxanne Cunningham received the most write-in votes for both a one-year and a three-year library trustee seat. She accepted the one-year seat, Estelle said, leaving the three-year seat unfilled. Rosemary Bienz was elected to another three-year position.

Mary Packard also accepted a three-year seat on the Finance Committee after getting eight write-in votes. Dawn Scaparotti won election to the other seat on the Finance Committee.

Robert Raymond and Gary Griswold won election to the three-year and one-year positions, respectively, on the Planning Board. But Robert Labrie declined the five-year seat after receiving a single vote as a write-in, Estelle said.

Others elected (three-year positions unless otherwise noted) were Kristine Bissell, Select Board; Heather Crocker Aulenback, Chesterfield/Goshen Regional School Committee; Paul Marcinek, Hampshire Regional High School Committee; Keith Wright, moderator (one year); Joshua LaFond, Board of Health; Sabrina McGill, almoner; Paula Pedersen, assessor; and Roger Culver, Robert Goss, and Richard Polwrek, Tilton Fruit Farm supervisors (one year).
