AMHERST — The University of Massachusetts announced this week the death of Anjali Khare, a senior psychology major from Belmont.

“We extend our sincere condolences to Anjali’s family and friends,” Dean of Students Evelyn L. Ashley wrote in an email Wednesday to the campus community.

Ashley’s email notes that the Student Loss and Remembrance website would be updated with arrangements, should the family wish to share them.

“During this difficult time, I urge you to reach out for assistance, or to direct others as appropriate,” Ashley wrote.

That support for those who need it would come from the Center for Counseling and Psychological Health and the Employee Counseling and Consultation Office.
