SOUTH HADLEY — With annual Town Meeting rapidly approaching, town leaders are holding several community forums to solicit feedback from residents on what town priorities should be.

The first of two town halls was scheduled to take place Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the South Hadley Public Library. A second forum will take place April 28 at Gaylord Library at 6 p.m. Select Board member Andrea Miles moderated the first forum and Select Board Chairman Jeff Cyr will moderate the second.

Each forum will include a “State of the Town” panel featuring Town Administrator Lisa Wong, Police Chief Jennifer Gunderson, Planning and Conservation Director Anne Capra and Public Works Director Chris Bouchard.

In addition to those two in-person events, Wong will be holding a public hearing on the Town Meeting articles on April 27. That hearing will be held virtually on Zoom at 6 p.m.

“This is an opportunity for the town to gather feedback from residents about how the town is operating,” Wong said in a statement. “We are excited to share the great work that local government is doing and the many projects and plans in the works.”

South Hadley’s annual Town Meeting will take place on May 11 at 6 p.m. in the South Hadley High School Auditorium. Drafts of the town’s budget and warrant articles are available on the town website.
