NORTHAMPTON — Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., will visit Northampton next weekend for a meet-and-greet event at Forbes Library.

The outdoor event at 20 West St. is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 12, at 3:30 p.m.

The 2020 presidential candidate “will be answering questions, giving updates on what she’s fighting for in Washington, and discussing the most pressing issues we’re facing right now in Massachusetts and across the country,” said Warren’s political team, Warren Democrats, in an email to supporters.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket for seating on the library’s west lawn.

The event is free and open to the public, but attendees are encouraged to RSVP. The link is available on the event’s Facebook page.

Warren has held such events in Worcester, Newburyport and Franklin since mid-August. An event planned in Newton on Wednesday was postponed due to inclement weather, while another is set for Sept. 8 in Dartmouth.

On Saturday, Sept. 4, Warren is expected to campaign in Los Angeles against the recall of Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom of California. Newsom is facing more than 40 candidates in an effort to keep his job.
