Hockey: Eight locals tabbed as all-league selections by PVIAC

High school hockey coaches from across western Massacahusett voted for PVIAC All-League honors based on performance throughout the 2023-24 season Monday night.

Three local teams were represented, as Amherst (Fay Division), Belchertown (Wright Division) and Easthampton (Wright Division) each saw players recognized for their efforts as all-league selection.

The Eagles led the way with four selections, Amherst saw three players earn honors and Belchertown grabbed one.

Here’s a list of each Hampshire County team who had athletes earn an All-League selection:

Amherst

• Spencer McDonald, goalie, junior

• Liam Flynn, defense, senior

• Cooper Beckwith, forward, senior

Belchertown

• Charles Fijal, forward, junior

Easthampton
