Eighth grader Maisie Bowler collected her first career hat trick in her second varsity game, as the Smith Academy girls soccer team beat Smith Vocational 5-1 on Thursday in Hatfield.

She also scored in the Falcons’ season opener.

“She’s the real thing,” Smith Academy coach Keith Lepine said.

Story Goldman added a goal and two assists for Smith Academy (1-1, 1-1 Pioneer South). Erin Gilrein distributed two assists. Haley Springman had a goal from 45 yards out.

Maddie Bell made one save.

Megan Cone scored for the Vikings (1-1, 1-1). Smith Vocational’s goalies saved 11 shots.

Easthampton 0, Frontier Regional 0 — Abby Coleman saved eight shots to keep a clean sheet and secure a point for the Eagles.

Easthampton (1-0-1, 1-0-1 Pioneer North) had its best opportunities in the first half, while Frontier (1-0-1, 1-0-1) created its best chances in the last five minutes.

Siomara Green had three saves for the Red Hawks.

Sabis 2, Holyoke 1 — Lauryn Wresien scored the Purple Knights’ lone goal. Taryn Ryan saved 18 shots for Holyoke (1-1, 1-1 Grieve).

Boys soccer

Hopkins 4, Mohawk 0 — Josiah Beck, Colin Earle, Addy Phifer and Patrick Fitzgibbons scored to lead the Golden Hawks (1-0) to victory. Chris Mushenski, Greg Kucinski, Fitzgibbons and Jared Venditti each had an assist. Erik Berg made three saves for Hopkins.

Belchertown 4, East Longmeadow 2 — The Orioles (1-0-1) pulled away from the Spartans with three second half-goals. Joe Bianco scored twice for Belchertown. Chris Ingram and Kaden Houke each added a goal. Ethan Czaporowski had two assists, while Shay O’Neill and Korey Houle had one each. Aidan McCarthy stopped nine shots

Agawam 6, Northampton 0 — The Blue Devils (0-1) went into halftime trailing Agawam by a goal, but a five-goal second half for the visitors was too much to overcome. “They were just better at finishing than we were,” Northampton head coach Aldo Tiobi said. Alex Caldanaro played well to keep the game close in the first half. “He had double-digit saves. He played very well,” Tiobi said.

Granby 3, Hampden Charter 2 — Max Brown, Mitchel L’Abbee and Liam Brown each scored a goal to lead the Rams (1-0) to victory. Dylan Moriarty had two assists. Dominick Nomakeo had five saves.
