LEVERETT — An annual outdoor community festival featuring live music, food, games and a live auction is returning to the Leverett Village Co-op on Sunday.

Held for at least a quarter-century and paused by the pandemic, the Spring Fling will be held from noon to 4 p.m. at the 180 Rattlesnake Gutter Road site in the Moore’s Corner section of Leverett, with the event kicking off with music by Boys of the Landfill.

Samples from local vendors including Maple Mama Beverages, Artisan Beverage Cooperative and Cabot Cheese will be available.

Throughout the afternoon, there will be a cookout, lawn games for all ages, and groceries, pizza slices and other goodies for sale inside the store.

A BagShare project party will also take place so attendees can transform feed bags into reusable shopping bags.

The live auction gets underway at 3 p.m. with professional auctioneer and Leverett Co-op General Manager John Calhoun overseeing the sale of items that include framed original artwork, tickets for Tanglewood,  a catering gift certificate for The Black Sheep Deli, and a gift certificate for a pottery class with Joy Friedman.

All proceeds from the auction and cookout benefit the co-op.
