Over the last eight years I have watched Gina-Louise Sciarra work for her community as a dedicated member of the Northampton City Council. I am confident that her commitment and experience as a council member (and as council president for two years) have prepared her to become our next mayor.
She was unanimously chosen as council president by her fellow council members, she has served on numerous committees as part of her workload, and she has managed to work two other full-time jobs as well — one in a local nonprofit and one as a mom to two kids in our public school system.
It is clear that Gina-Louise has built a career that is tirelessly dedicated to serve the public and the city of Northampton. As a local business owner, I am voting for Gina-Louise because of her experience, but also because of her commitment to the future of our city. She supports expanding affordable housing, strengthening our public school system, improving our public transportation systems, and continuing to build a city that protects and respects everyone.
As chair of the Finance Committee, she managed our city budget of $120 million, she understands how municipal government works. I trust her with the responsibility of being our mayor, she’s prepared for the job, and I encourage you to consider giving her your vote, too!
