As the new executive director for Pathlight, the regional organization that serves individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, I have been so impressed with the support I’ve seen from the community for our programs, especially Whole Children in Hadley.
Both Steve Lewis Subaru and Florence Bank made generous donations to Whole Children this month as have dozens of our loyal donors.
This kind of support is always important, but it’s taken on new meaning as we enter the third year of the pandemic.
While we have worked hard over the past decades to ensure the inclusion of people with disabilities in their community, the pandemic has threatened to erode those gains. Many people with disabilities are more vulnerable to the virus and have had to endure years of isolation to stay safe. It has taken a toll.
Whole Children is committed to meet the new needs of the children and families we serve to ensure that all the hard work of getting here is not lost.
We cannot do this critical work without the support of our community, so we thank you!
