HOLYOKE – Three people were displaced after a fire broke out in a townhouse on Tokeneke Road on Wednesday night.

The Holyoke Fire Department received a 911 call at 7:51 p.m. from a neighbor reporting smoke coming from a second-floor window in a unit at Holyoke Farm Apartments at 438 Tokeneke Road.

Firefighters arriving at the scene found smoke coming from a second-floor bedroom window of a single-family townhouse. The fire was located in an entertainment center/bureau and was quickly extinguished using a single hose line, Fire Capt. Kevin Cavagnac wrote in a statement Wednesday night.

No one was home when neighbors discovered the fire and there were no injuries. Three family members who live in the townhouse are being assisted by the American Red Cross, according to the Fire Department.

There was extensive smoke and minor water damage. The fire is under investigation.
