HADLEY — The hawk freed from the St. John Cantius bell tower in Northampton was not the only hawk rescued from danger in the area on Wednesday.
Hadley Police received a report of a baby hawk caught in a resident’s blueberry bush netting, the department reported on its Facebook page.
Police said Officer John Robitaille, who previously rescued some ducks, responded to the call and was able to cut through the netting and free the hawk, which police named Harold. No injuries were reported.
