Colleges: Amherst field hockey cruises past Keene State

Natalie Hobbs scored twice as the Amherst College field hockey team used balanced scoring to rout Keene State, 9-0, Wednesday at home.

Eight players scored for the Mammoths (2-1).

Sage Geyer, Jackie D’Alleva, Franny Daniels, Caroline Donahue, Sarah Edelson, Anna Agathis and Beth Williamson each scored once. Geyer, Laura Schwartzman and Daniels each had one assist. Williamson had two assists.

Women’s soccer

Smith College 1, RPI 1 — Maggie Boyle had the lone goal for the Pioneers (2-2-1) in the second half.

Noemi Howland had 10 saves and Naomi Falkenberg had two saves in shared time for Smith.

Stonehill 2, Queens 1 — Kayla Henry (Belchertown) scored late as the Skyhawks (2-1) won on the road.

Men’s soccer

Western New England 2, Westfield State 0 — Dylan Husted (South Deerfield) made one save for the shutout on the road.
