A woman came into the police station around 2:15 p.m. Tuesday to tell police she had passed a school bus with a stop sign out. Police said the woman felt guilty and asked to be cited. Police declined to issue a citation.

South Hadley

South Hadley Police said a group of youths caused minor damage to the Town Hall sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning. Chief Steve Parentela said officers are looking into suspects. Town Administrator Michael Sullivan informed the Select Board about the incident at its meeting Tuesday night. Sullivan told the board the individuals got into the building through a door that had been left unlocked.

Easthampton

Peter Davis, 48, of Easthampton was arrested at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday on charges of disorderly conduct and two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Police said Davis used pepper spray on a man and an older woman after a verbal argument.

Amherst

A 21-year-old Missouri woman was arrested at 12:38 a.m. Thursday outside the Monkey Bar, 63 North Pleasant St., on a charge of disorderly conduct after she allegedly interfered with police officers called to the location for an earlier incident, police said. The charge against her was later dismissed in court.

Around 12:16 a.m., police had been summoned to the bar when another woman was asked to show her ID to the doorman, and instead attempted to present a slice of pizza. After being informed that pizza was not a valid means of gaining entry to the establishment, the woman slapped the doorman in the face, according to police, and was issued a trespass notice to stay away from the location.

Michael Stebbins, 54, of Northfield, was arrested at 5:56 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of South Pleasant Street and Northampton Road on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, third offense, negligent operation of a motor vehicle to endanger and failure to use care in stopping after the vehicle he was driving crashed into at least one other vehicle, police said.

No additional information about the crash, including any injuries to drivers or passengers, was available, police said.
