Goshen, MA – Frank J. “Sonny” Kosior, Jr., 86, passed away at the Fisher Home in Amherst on January 15, 2026. Born in Easthampton on February 4, 1939, he was the son of Frank and Viola (Riel) Kosior.
Sunny grew up in Easthampton. He attended school there and in 1959 he married the love of his life, Nancy (Hillenbrand) Kosior, they’ve spent over 66 wonderful years together. He first started working for his brother-in-law as a mechanic and taxi driver at 55 Taxi in Northampton. Nancy and Frank moved to Williamsburg where they raised their four children. He went on to work construction and several jobs before he decided to go off on his own forming the Frank J. Kosior, Jr., Builders he retired in 2001 and in 2019 he moved to Goshen. Frank loved to hunt, fish and to snowmobile where he was one of the original Burgy Bullets snowmobile club. He was a collector of all things useful, especially when they had a future use. He was known as a loving practical joker, but Sunny’s love of people made him quite the conversationalist.
He will be dearly missed by his wife Nancy, his sons, Frank Kosior, III and wife Cimin of Plainfield, Mark Kosior and wife Kim of Granby, Keith Kosior and his partner Kate Fontaine of Williamsburg. He was predeceased by his son Michael Kosior in 1996. Frank leaves his brother Larry Kosior of Townsen, GA and he was predeceased by his three sisters, Dorothy Quinn, Beatrice Blakesley and Norma Linebarger. He was a loving grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend to many.
All are welcome to attend a calling hour on Saturday, January 24 from 11 to 12 with a service in the Funeral Home at 12 noon. His burial will be held at a later date.
